The Southern Plains Child Protection Team (SPCPT) is excited to announce the dates for the 6th Annual Southern Plains Child Protection Team Conference that will be held in Oklahoma City, September 13-15, 2023. This year’s Conference Theme is “STANDING TOGETHER TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN AND TO PRESERVE OUR CULTURE”.
The goal and objective of the annual conference will be to provide awareness and learning opportunities that support Indian Child Protection and Indian Child Welfare with the focus on protecting children and preserving our culture. The conference will offer learning opportunities in the areas of regulations and policies that affect Native children and families, best practices, trauma informed care, tribal sovereignty, and cooperative services from tribal, state and federal partners.
